NAIDOC Week 2024

This year, NAIDOC Week runs 07 – 14 July. This is a time to honour and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

This year’s theme is “Keep the fire burning! Blak, loud and proud”, this celebrates the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations culture. Fire is a symbol of connection to Country, each other and the rich tapestry of traditions that define Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

To celebrate NAIDOC Week 2024, we are thrilled to have collaborated once again with Indigenous artist, Zowie from the Kombumerri and Butchulla tribes (@zoe.aboriginalart). Zowie is a self-taught contemporary Aboriginal artist, you can view Zowie’s artwork on posters and signage throughout the centre.
