Register for Rowan
A simple cheek swab could give someone a second chance at life.
Strathpine Centre is proud to support Register for Rowan, a community campaign encouraging more young Australians to join the stem cell donor registry.
Rowan Tong-Law is a young Brisbane university student who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. After chemotherapy was unsuccessful, Rowan’s best chance is now a stem cell transplant—and the search is on for a matching donor.
Join us at Strathpine Centre
If you’re aged 17–35 and have a medicare card, visit the Register for Rowan pop-up to join the registry. Every registration will receive a FREE Brooklyn Donut!*
Friday 4 September: 1pm–4pm
Saturday 5 September: 11am–2pm
Location: Behind Brooklyn Donuts Strathpine
Registering involves completing a simple online form and cheek swab. Your details will then be added to the stem cell donor registry, where you could be identified as a match for Rowan—or another patient in need.
As a thank you, everyone who completes the registration and cheek swab at the event will receive a voucher for a FREE Homer Donut from Brooklyn Donuts.*
Even if you aren’t Rowan’s match, joining the registry could give hope to another person awaiting a life-saving stem cell transplant.
It only takes a few minutes, but the impact could last a lifetime.

*Terms and conditions apply. Donut voucher redeemable at Brooklyn Donuts Strathpine Centre on 4–5 September 2026 only. Eligibility requirements apply when joining the stem cell donor registry.
